About

Knot Not Rank (KNR) is a friend group consisting of the members: Shibuya Hal, Admin, Kinako, BobSappAim, Virtual Gorilla, Kawase and Alelu.

While most of the members are active Apex Legends players, they are not by any means, professional players. They may be associated with professional e-sports organisations (e.g. Crazy Raccoon and DeToNator) but they are are primarily a friend group.

There may be hidden members that will be disclosed at a later date. Although, at present, there is no intention of adding more members to KNR.

Name Origins

Knot Not Rank is pronounced as このり (ko-no-ri) in Japanese.

The origins of the name comes from the Season 3 Bloodhound event, The Old Ways, in Apex Legends. In Japanese, the event was titled 古の理 (いしえのことわり, i-ni-shi-e-no-ko-to-wa-ri). However, one of the members, BobSappAim misread the event to be このり (ko-no-ri) in his videos. Shibuya Hal apparently liked it very much and decided to term their friend group that. Today, the said video where BobSappAim makes the mistake is privated.

Shibuya Hal is the de-facto leader of KNR as he was the one who established the friend group! He streams almost daily and uploads Apex Legends-related videos daily. Shibuya Hal is also well known in the VTuber and Apex scene in Japan and has organised various Apex Legends tourneys such as the Vtuber Most Cooperatitive Tournament as well as commentated for various tourneys such as FFL and ALGS.

Almost streams daily with Alelu and Uruca (non-KNR) member to grind ranked in Apex Legends. Hosts the Shibuya Hal Customs every Thursday on Mildom from 21:00 JST.

Age: 25

Admin is also a member of competitive e-sports organisation, 父の背中 (Father's Back). He used to play Rainbow Siege 6 competitively but has since moved towards streaming Apex Legends and regularly posts videos of Apex Legends leaks and updates.

A dark horse who was discovered by Shibuya Hal on Youtube, Kinako focuses on daily gaming streams. He aims to stream for 6h daily. One of the PCPAD players within KNR. He is also really good in Apex Legends despite having no experience playing competitively.

bobsappaim

Birthday: 4th March 2001
Age: 20
Nicknames: Bob-san (by Kinako), Sapp (by Admin), Aim-kun (by Kawase/ Alelu/ Shibuya Hal)

Known for his ikebo. Is also unable to read kanji so it is recommended that you include furigana or type in hiragana in his comments. Previously on keyboard and mouse, BobSappAim also made the change to PCPAD after playing Apex Legends for some time. Used to play competitively for PUBG. His videos are focused on sharing about Apex Legends updates, leaks and various fun initiatives.

Age: 20
Nicknames: Niowase

Former #1 in Japan during Season 4 of Apex Legends. He's most known for playing Pathfinder in King's Canyon. Used to play competitively under GTS until he moved to be part of the Streamer Team under Crazy Raccoon. Similarly, he posts various Apex Legends-related videos daily.

Age: 24

Formerly part of DeToNator's competitive team, Alelu moved to the streaming department before he was officially announced to be part of KNR. Often coaches for various teams during tourneys and commentates for many Apex Legends tourneys such as ALGS, FFL and CR Cup.

Almost streams daily with Shibuya Hal and Uruca (non-KNR) member to grind ranked in Apex Legends.

virtual gorilla

Birthday: 13th January
Age: 5
Nicknames: Gorilla-san, VGori

Known for his deep ikebo, Apex Legends is Virtual Gorilla's first FPS. Yet, he managed to finish as Predator within a year of starting Apex Legends. During the 1st Vtuber Most Cooperatitive Tournament, he managed to clinch MVP for having the most number of kills during the tourney. Posts Apex Legends videos regularly and often collaborates with other Vtubers.
